Description
The M14 served as the U.S. military’s primary battle rifle from 1959 through the Vietnam era, combining the M1 Garand’s reliability with a detachable 20-round magazine and 7.62x51mm NATO chambering. The civilian Springfield Armory M1A replicates the M14 with a walnut or polymer stock and gas-operated rotating bolt in semi-automatic only. Still in use as a designated marksman rifle.
